History
Shoop is owned and managed by Ali Page. The company was first-born on the beautiful bay of Hat Khuat, Thailand. Ali was spending time there on a four week break, having spent a year in Australia working in promotions and temporary contracts in advertising. She had always wanted to run her own show and decided that she’d enjoyed promotional work and the media industry so much, it would make perfect sense to run her own model and promotions agency. Many have asked Ali ‘where does the name Shoop come from?’ It came to mind when she heard Salt’n’Pepa’s ‘Shoop’ playing on the radio.
Before her work down under, Ali had previously studied business at Leeds Metropolitan University. After graduation, she dove straight into London’s creative marketing industry. First in-house for IBM and then project managing for Orange Switzerland from agency-side. She finds that having this client and agency perspective helps these days, giving insight and understanding of the business situations that clients are involved in.
Philosophy
Shoop’s philosophy is based on managing and supplying models who are ‘more than a pretty face’. Shoop models not only look fantastic but also have a very diligent work ethic. Those who work with the agency are driven to keep focused on the end results that clients need to achieve. The models are fully aware that clients are investing in them and counting on them to represent their brand, raise awareness, create interest and most importantly increase sales.
